In reply to Prashant. 1) When interest rates increases, bonds which offer lesser coupon compared to interest rate becomes less attractive, hence the price tends to fall. 2) Expectation on the interest rate, which is again dependent on the way economy is moving has an impact on bond prices, and therefore they fluctuate.
